How To: [Temporary] Rose Gold Locks

I was browsing through the aisles of Target yesterday and came across this Rose Gold Temporary tint spray. I had just seen a girl on Instagram share about it & thought it'd be a fun little mix up from my regularly scheduled hair programming๐Ÿ˜‚ You may, or may not know, but I am actually a retired hairdresser! So I love experimenting with my hair and trying new things. Now that I am a mom and have less time to spend on my hair though, I don't have the time to devote to really turning my locks a pale pink. The upkeep on something like that is more than I am willing to sign on for but hey, if after a little spritz I can have some rose-colored tresses then I am willing to try it out! The key for me: it's temporary, zero commitment! Hallelujah. I was pretty excited to try it out so last night before I showered, I sprayed it into my hair completely dry and voila... pink hair!

Here's my quick HOW TO on using this product:

Decide how pigmented you want the pink/rose color to be. It's temporary so you can always wash it out if it's too much. I was willing to go for it and applied it to dry hair so it would soak up as much of the color as possible since my hair isn't a pale blonde.

Spray it up lady! Make sure you're in your shower with the curtain or door closed because there is some fallout spray while doing this. It can get messy! I had pink all over my body and my bathtub, thankfully it rinsed right off. I sprayed a decent amount on each area that my hair is pre-lightened (blonde/highlighted). NOTE: if you have dark hair with no highlights then this product will not work on your hair. Color can NOT deposit on top of color, therefore to see the color you have to first remove the color from your hair (blonde).

Rinse your hair but DON'T shampoo it. Then condition it as normal or apply a hydrating hair mask. If you have a mask on hand, I recommend using it because this stuff did make my hair pretty knotty.

Blow it dry and style it up! Me being the freak I am literally blew my hair dry and styled it at like 9 o'clock last night because I had to know what the turn out would be๐Ÿ˜‚

The process seriously takes no time at all and then you have a super cute, new 'do' for the day! I think this would be fun to do for a bachelorette party look or for an upcoming Valentine's Day date-night paired with a sleek LBD & some cute pumps, yowzas! Your man won't know what hit him๐Ÿ˜

If you try this, let me know in the comments below how it worked for you!
