Floral for Summer + Weekend Recap

5.29.2018

THIS DRESS is my absolutely favorite! First off, the color and floral print is so perfect for the transition from Spring into Summer. It's the perfect dress to have in your closet for this upcoming wedding season! I paired it with THESE SUPER CUTE WEDGES that are a total dupe for THESE more expensive ones! They're super comfortable to wear and can go with anything from dresses to jeans. You could also dress this look down by pairing it with MY FAVORITE SLIDES EVER. Also, THIS DRESS is from my fav shop ever, PINKBLUSH and I know I shared about them all throughout my pregnancy but they also have nonmaternity options as well. All of their clothes are so cute! I am obsessed with THIS OPTION or THIS ONE TOO. So if you haven't already, definitely go check them out!

WEEKEND RECAP

Is it just me or is it so dang hard to come back to reality after a 3 day weekend? This weekend was so much fun! We were crazy busy compared to our normal weekends where we stick close to home. On Saturday we celebrated my father in laws 60th birthday at our favorite dinner spot! Its the best little Italian food place right by where Michael and I had our first apartment, it's always so fun to go back to that area and reminisce about our life there before we had kiddos! I was a little nervous going to dinner with our circus (aka: two kids under two) but it went surprisingly well. Ryker behaved the whole time and had made one or two minor meltdowns... progress y'all! And Cash, well he was a complete angel who slept most of the time and then nursed for a bit after I finished eating. He's easy to please! We sang happy birthday, scarfed down some cake and even posed for a picture with good ol' gramps on his birthday. Ryker was none to pleased about the picture taking but his sweet older cousin (who will be 4 in August) sweetly gave him some of her M&Ms to make up for it😍

Then on Sunday, we had another birthday celebration! This is the season of birthdays in our family and man is it crazy! My little cousin turned 15 and I am still in disbelief that he can be that old😱 It was a quieter celebration, just close family, good pizza and a super cute tie-dye cake! It was so fun just laughing and chatting with family.

And finally, Memorial Day! We didn't have any plans for the day originally but made a last minute decision to spend the day at my Nana's house. She has the best house with a beautiful pool! It was our first family pool day of the summer season and it was so much fun! Last year, Ryker wasn't quite big enough to wear floaties and swim around by himself so this year is going to be so much fun. He had a blast "swimming" around with his dad! He looked like such a big kid in his cute little red, white and blue swim trunks and his American flag sunglasses! Cash was rocking the most adorable little onesie that said "All American Dude", apparently he didn't like it very much because he had a major blowout all over it😂 It was a whole lot of eating, chatting and laughing with family, and celebrating how lucky we are to live in a country where there are so many amazing men and women who risk their lives to protect us! Thank you to all of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

I hope you all had the best Memorial Day weekend!
